Searching and marking of aluminum castings

After casting and cooling, aluminum castings are transferred to a cutting device where unnecessary parts formed during casting are removed. The castings then randomly fall onto a moving platform. Using a Photoneo 3D scanner, the exact position of each part is detected, after which an industrial robot picks them and places them into a fixture where they are secured and marked with a micro-stamp. After correct stamping, the part is returned, and the same procedure is used for the next piece.
