Inspection and Lifting System for Automated Component Inspection

We designed and implemented an inspection and lifting system whose primary function is to maintain an ergonomic working height for operators loading KLT boxes into the system. The KLT boxes contain components that are inspected using a vision system and simultaneously identified via QR codes. The collected data is automatically stored in the higher-level information system.

The system is equipped with a Keyence VS-L camera featuring ZOOM-TRACK functionality, enabling detailed inspection of each individual component, followed by an image capture of the entire surface, including reliable QR code reading. For detailed inspection, the camera moves between both halves of the KLT box using a precise servo drive. The lifting mechanism is powered by Festo actuators.
