KLT Box Cleaning Station with Conveyor System

The equipment is designed for the automated cleaning of KLT containers before they enter the cleanroom environment. It is part of a conveyor system that ensures a continuous supply of containers with components while minimizing the transfer of contaminants into the cleanroom. Once a KLT container enters the cleaning station, the working area is enclosed to prevent dust and contaminants from spreading into the surrounding environment. The container height is then precisely measured using a SICK light curtain, allowing the cleaning process to adapt automatically to the container dimensions. The cleaning process consists of several stages. First, the inner walls of the container are cleaned using an air-blow unit with vertical adjustment, which automatically adapts to the measured height of the KLT container. The container then passes through a comprehensive air-blow zone, where it is cleaned from all sides – top, bottom, and both side walls.

The equipment is designed in compliance with ESD requirements. The system also incorporates ionizers that eliminate electrostatic charges, improving the removal of dust particles and ensuring more effective cleaning.

The conveyor system is controlled to prevent collisions and the accumulation of containers. Each container position is continuously monitored, and the container advances only when sufficient space is available. The system also includes vertical conveyors, which transport KLT containers above the access gate, ensuring unobstructed personnel passage beneath it. The result is a thoroughly cleaned KLT container, ready for entry into the cleanroom environment, contributing to higher process quality and a reduced risk of contamination.
