Checking the presence of installed components
On manufactured parts, the operator often skipped the steps of placing other components on the manufactured piece. Subsequently, these pieces were marked with a sticker as checked and without errors.
By creating a simple control position, the desired control effect was achieved. Avoiding bypassing the control was achieved by an algorithm in the program where it was not possible to print another sticker before the parts were removed. The same was true for bad pieces, where the inspection had to be repeated until all components were installed.
These components can be placed directly on the nests, which attach the parts using suction cups.
Checker COGNEX 4G and camera Omron FQ2
The inspection was carried out using a Cognex 4G Checker and subsequently supplemented with three more positions, where they were already equipped with Omron FQ2 cameras, connected to the S7-1200 control system via the Profinet network. The check was started every time the button was pressed.
